Hello, im sure somebody has asked about this before but does anybody produce color changing Halos for the 08 335 coupe? specifically plug and play? do they even make color changing halos? i have been considering purchasing a pair but im not sure where i can find them or how much they cost. if any of you all have come across anything like this could you send me a link to their website?
by color changing i mean like you can change the color of the halo rings from white to blue to red to green etc all from a switch in your car!
i think this would be really cool if its out there!
thanks
I think its best to stick the OEM color or if you must change it, maybe a superwhite.
I personally think its a little tacky putting changing the Angel Eyes to green/purple/pink. Whats next? underglow neon kit?
There is exactly what you are describing available from http://www.umnitza.com/index.php?mai...oducts_id=5632
I have been thinking about fitting these, but I am unsure about the "tacky rating". You can put them into a number of different modes, including color shifting, but I think that the novelty will wear off and i'd settle on a specific color. But at least you would have that choice, change of color for a change of mood or season.
Yeah I've been pulled up for the Blue issue. On my earlier car I installed a couple of high intensity blue leds in the front quarter panel indicators which were wired to my parker lights. They didn't flash but were overpowered by the output of the orange indicator bulb flashing. Anyway long story short I was pulled up and informed that you can't have red or blue lights on the sides of your vehicle, I quickly pulled the fuse on the setup and avoided an on the spot fine. So not all cops will give you a fine if you are compliant and polite. I didn't want to argue that most modern tail light assemblies wrap around the rear panel and are visible from the side as I figured it wasn't going to be a really productive discussion. The point that I am curious about is, this guy was very specific about stating it was the side of the car that this law applied to, and there are plenty of cars now with blue led lighting on their windscreen washer nozzle assembly, as well as the parker lamps, niether of which is considered to be the side of the car.
I guess if you wanted to run the non red & blue options you should be ok, unless you were then accused of impersonating a green or orange traffic light.
