I want to get a Cold air intake for my 2000 323i, there are a bunch of them on eBay, they are Brand new they sell for like $30, I don't know what brand they are. And there is a K&n one for like $60. Are good for the money or are they junk?

good question....
lets break it down. You want to pay $30 for a component that is crucial for the performance of a $30,000 machine.
so the answer could only be it has to be junk...of course...duh!
would BOEING by a $10 wheel off of ebay for it's 747 jet....?
still....dude....becareful...I know tons of members who had bad experiences with buying performance stuff from ebay....maybe trim stuff or cosmetic mods...but performance....
check out bavauto.com the price maybe as cheap but you'll have a warranty at least.
come on.... if you can offord a bimmer you shouldnt be buying cheap knockoff profrormace mods. Especailly mods for your motor etc. I would agree with delmarco.
Well anything over $200 is a waste of money, They all do the same thing, all you are paying for is the name. Where can I get decent quality for around $150

I recently asked the same question. I have a 2002 325i, and wanted to get a cold air intake, too...I did a lot of research, asked multiple questions on different forums, and came to one conclusion....they all do the same thing. Yeah, Gruppe M may look better, but I ultimately went with the AEM... http://www.performancecenter.com/pro...roductID=52619
It's easy to install. Not a HUGE gain in HP's, or gas mileage, but you'll notice the already throaty BMW growl is enhanced when you throttle it, and go over 4000 RPMs. (Assuming you have a manual transmission.) Best part....it's only around $150. You could spend up to $500 on something that will do the same thing, but cost a LOT more.
Anyway, good luck, and enjoy what the BMW is made for....driving.
