Code P1470 AND NONE OF THE DASHBOARD GUAGES WORK !!

Hi,

I have a 1999 BMW 323 i :

I have check engine light on for code P1470.

Also, none of the 4 guages on the dashboard work...

These are 2 separate issues.

Help!

That code is :P1470 A/C Cycling Period Too Short

Which is to do with Air-con

As witeshark says chek your fuses.

If they are ok, disconnect the batt for 15 minutes, Neg 1st and reconnect Neg last, make sure you have the code for the radio if required.

By the way, for the gages, could it be that I need to change the instrument clusters on the dash board for the gages to work? I am not sure how costy that is..
