I have a e46 328ci with the 5 speed manual gearbox. I have noticed that under initial acceleration or aggressive gear changes that the clutch seems to engage at a slower rate than desired. The clutch "slips" at no other time except as noted. If I shift more slowly then the effect described above does not take place. I know that some 5 series and other models have a Clutch Delay Valve (CDV) that if modified or removed eliminates a similar problem. I have not been able to determine if the e46 also has this CDV and I don't want to raise the car to see if one is inline with the clutch slave cylinder. If anyone knows if a CDV is installed on the e46 please let me know and if you know of a place that sells a modified CDV please tell me.
