Clear Corners on 330i Perf pkg

I have a 2004 330i performance.
I am curious: why are clear corners standard on the 'Sport' package 3 series, but not on the 'Performance' package?

In any case, how do I get my hands on a set? How are they switched? Again, I am a car mongoloid, so if the switch involves more than a screwdriver and a butter knife, I am going to need to enlist the help of the professionals.

Clear lights are available in www.bavauto.com... check it out. Thats where I got my clears all the way around my 330i (performance package) 2003.
