Cheap Way To Find Out The Cause Of Problem

The car is currently miss firing. As long as the enginr stays revved I can keep going but when the engine downshifts or slows down it stalls out. I think the engine may have been exceeded the rev limit. I honestly do know exactly what happened. If the engine was overrevved this can be determined on the computer chip. Any suugestions on how what may be wrong? Anyway to tel exactly how many values are blown? Any suggestion on the cheapest way to get thi fixed the fastest in IL. Thank you

without any info i am going to guess it is the timing belt. because my moms car needs a new timing and it stalls if it is not reved when it is starting. gl

If the engine was over revved, and damage was done..you will have a check engine light on and the car would idle very rough or stall out, it happened to me, I had bent all my valves, but as long as I kep t the rpm's high I could still drive it.
