Hi all,

I was hoping that someone could run a Carfax for me for the following VIN: WBAAV33411FV04736. If possible can you post the carfax here, PM me or email me at jisang@hotmail.com

Also, do you think $16,500 (approx) is a fair price for the following car:
- 2001 BMW 325i
- Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) BMW Warranty till 7/12/2007
- All inspection upto date (Inspection II done already)
- 5 speed with strong clutch
- Texas car

Its about $1,000 above book (I think mainly because of the CPO warranty).

Any thoughts are appreciated, as is a Carfax report!!

I am pretty sure you can find this car for 12k or less on autotrader, but w/o the CPO...

Is it worth paying $4.5k for such a short warrenty? If you engine and tranny BOTH die within the next 14 months, then it might be worth it to have a CPO...

Hmm....what you are saying makes a lot of sense...but do you really think this car is worth only $12K? Private party value came to $15-%15.5...trade in value came to $12K....

And I thought that BMW's often sell for slightly more than book because of the immense demand for them!

If I got my near mint 99 540 (m-sport pkg, rare 6-speed) for $12k, I am 100% sure you can get this 01 325i for $12k as well.

The key is... patience! I know it's hard to pass up a car sometimes, but if it is not PERFECT (price, color, specs), then don’t do it! Just tell yourself that there are many more out there (aka: the truth) and move on.

Just think about all the things you can do with another $4k+ in your pocket...

WOW....maybe 5 series WITH the M-packge for 12K.....that is a nice deal....how many miles were on it though?

The car had a 129k miles on it, which may be a lot but surprisingly it runs just as good as one I drove at a BMW dealer that was a 03 with 50k miles.

Previous owner was a Upstate NY docter that drove all over for work and also had family in buffalo, NY and Virginia. He handed me a HUGE stack of BMW Maintanace records and upgrade reciepts. You can check out my profile for more details regarding the upgrades

In conclusion, I got a car who's kbb value is $17k with $2k-3k worth of upgrades for................... $12k!

By the way, he listed the car for $15k I called and offered $12k CASH... and he made a deal.

He just bought a 06 Merc CLS500... so i guess the 540 was just yesterday's toy to him (and gladly today's toy for me )
