Car Phone Package - BMW Forum

My 2000 328i apparently came with a car phone package installed. I have steering wheel controls for the phone and the roof antenna. I was just recently thinking it would be awesome if I could hook up my cell phone to this system, but haven't the slightest clue. Does anyone have any information regarding these car phone systems? Is it possible, what's required, how's it work...

it will not work unless you have the BMW phone. the only way to make it work is by using the retrofit Bluetooth system and your phone will need to be Bluetooth compatible.

and make sure by going to the dealer and getting a list of BMW approved phones that will work with the retrofitted system BEFORE you buy a bluetooth phone or you may risk your phone not being compatable with your vehicle!
