Camshaft position sensor

What brands should I trust when replacing this sensor? Also what websites are they available? After doing some research I see there are a lot of faulty cheap sensors out there and this weekend enthusiast is not trying to waste time :-)

OEM. The aftermarket ones are garbage and prone to failure. Pelican Parts will carry them.

What type of car do you have? It can vary between the models and engines.

If the CPS is bad the car is probably going to be running poorly or you will have a CEL on the dash. Did you can the car for Trouble Codes to see if the code comes back to a CPS?

The CPS failing wouldnt cause a no spark issue. Theirs something else going on. How have you verified that your not getting spark or fuel?

yes i have, i just ended up taking it to a shop to have it diagnosed.
Apparently someone put diesel in my car, and that clogged the fuel sending unit. So that needs the be replaced and all of the line need to be drained.
The shop is trying to charge me 1600 to do so.

Who put diesel in your car? That is shitty. $1,600 doesnt really surprise me. Anytime diesel is put into a gasoline car its very expensive to fix. A few friends of mine are diesel HD techs. Sorry man.
