A/C is cooling too much - BMW Forum

I've got an annoying problem with my A/C on my E46. After driving a while the climate system is going nuts. It starts to freeze down the car below my preferred temp (19.5'C). As a countermeasure I have to increase the temperature in steps of 2-3 Celsius. Then the car heats up for a few minutes, until it turns back into freezing mode. When I reach 28-29 Celsius the car reach an acceptable temp (I guess real feal is 18'C).

What could be wrong? I've chanced the blower regulator, but no luck.
Any suggestions?

The AC thermostat may not be working propaply, So It's not measuring the temp correctly.

Where is the thermostat located? Is it located inside the heater contol unit? Can I read the values with in the hidden OBC options, even my car doesn't have the OBC stalk?

Speaking of OBC, is it possible to replace the turning stalk with a OBC stalk and have full computer features without doing more effort?
