Buying A Used 330pp

I'm looking at a '04 330PP. Trading up from a 2001 330i. I'd like a few comments or "watch out for's..."
The magazines and "pre-owners" give lots of reasons to love it; I'd like to hear a few not-so-great comments from owners. Nothing is perfect...

I liked mine! No real problems aside from some recall on the BMW assist (which then made a loud buzzing noise when the lights and cd/radio was on) - which resulted in the replacement of the CD unit.

Oh, and the tilting mirror when in reverse... don't count on it always tilting. Mine would... probably 30-40% of the time... then the dealer replaced it... then it worked about 80% of the time.

Nice car, but if you were keeping it... I'd get the extended warranty.

i bought mine november 03, put 20k so far.

IT RULES. RULES. handling is better than m3. this is likely the best 3 series ever.

1. it needs to have non-staggered tires: i went to dunlop racing wets 235/40 x 18 on all corners. otherwise it will slighlty understeer.
2. braided brake lines, hawk pads and powerslot rotors improved the brakes tremendously. stock set up is ok, just like any 330.
3. clutch is stock , and picks up high. not bad, but not m3 class.
4. the car is fairly slow, but noticeably faster than regular 330. fast enough for daily driver.

the pp option was the best $4000 i ever spent. on anything. ever.

oh, the seats are great. i keep a supply of cleaning products in the car, cos i come every time i drive. it is THAT good.
