Question Burning oil smell at idle

My wifes 2000 323I has developed a burning oil smell at idle. I checked the oil pressure switch and found no leaks. There seems so be some oil seepage on the heat shield above the exhaust manifold. Would a leaky head gasket be the source of the oil? The car has 108,000 miles. I check the oil regularly and have not had to add any oil between changes. Does this car have a PCV valve?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I believe it does not have a pcv valve, I have repaired those engine with the headgasket leaking oil before. you might want to clean the engine then try and pin point exactly where the oil is coming from, possibly valve cover gasket????

^ mostlikely the valve cover gasket which is a relitively easy fix....
