Bulbs for euro-taillights?

I just installed the euro red/clear taillights on my 2000 323ci and replaced the clear bulbs with orange ones. I guess I had to to keep it legal. I dont really like how the orange shows through the taillights. Are there any other legal options? I think I heard another thread mention invisibulbs, anyone know anything about them?

Most people on the board will reccomend you pick up Sylvania's Silverstar signal lights. They are a bluish tint when off, and when on, the bulbs light up amber; keeping them DOT approved and legal.

However, if you dont want to go with the slick blue look or dont want to pay the ~$25 for two signal bulbs, you can always paint your amber bulbs silver, and just leave a couple slits unpainted. The Solaris Invisibulbs are just normal bulbs painted...

If you get the Silverstars, I reccomend ordering them from Sylvania's website; I spent half a day looking for the ones for my bimmer and no one had the right bulb set

I just bought clears all around. I'm not that fond of the amber bulbs and found the SilverStar bulbs in my auto store. Problem is, I don't know which part # to get. 1156? 1157? I understand that my E46 is supposed to have Part # 7506 (or P21W), but not so sure what model # to get for the SilverStar.

Anyone know which model will work on an E46 (2000 328CI)?

Also, I heard that using SilverStar bulbs (or maybe certain Euro-bulbs) can 'F' up your OBC. Something about the current. Is that true?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
