Building an Intake!

Ok, so I've decided that $600 is too much for me to spend on an intake, so I've decided to replicate the design of the GruppeM intake. I guess what I'm looking for is anybody who has an original that might be able to get me some diameters, etc. or any info that came with it that might help me out.

In case you're wondering, I am able to lay my own carbon fiber. All I need is some sizes.

I know all the parts I need, I found these DIY instructions I just want to see what you all think!

sorry to stray off topic. but you can do carbon fibre stuff? how elaborate of a product can you make? (ie- hoods and trunks etc?) thanks

I'm just getting into it, my Enginerd friends are teaching me the glory of the mech lab. Apparently all you need is a styrofoam mold to lay the carbon fiber over. But that's the hard part: measuring and sculpting a perfect mold...

Get ahold of one and make a mold from the original. But do not resell them as that might infringe on specific patents.

Mach 5, you're in Denver, right? You know of any places around here that sell GruppeM? The only place I know that does BMW aftermarket is AutoSport Werks in Broomfield, and they only do Dinan.
