OK so get this, I'm crusing down the highway at around 70-75mph. The car in front of me slows down, so I apply the brakes, the car jerks to the right . As I press a bit more, it jerks back to the left, straightining itself out. Should I worry or is this just the way the brakes react?

Something's wrong with it. You've probably got a caliper that's sticking.

Ok but is it a serious matter that can't wait or can I hold that off till my instection in 8k miles? The rides fine, and brakes strong, just a slight jerk to the right upon initial braking every so often.

dont ask us if u can handle your car, cuz we dont know.
ask ur self if u can drive w/brakes that can possibly go out when ur coming into a 30mph
corner at 80. we dont know how bad they r, but if stopping is just as important as going.

dont take chances w/brakes. make sure they work all the time.
have them checked man!
have u ever owned a car before or is this your first one? most places will do free brake inspections on cars if they thinku might pay them to fix the problems.

8k miles is a long time to wait on bad brakes. ur gonna hurt ur self.

good luck
Mark

I didn't ask you about handling.

Don't treat me like a little kid. I'm not some 17 year old who just got his license who'll drill a whole in his gas tank for Nitro.

This is my second car, but I've never experienced this before and have heard the termiology before about brake pulling. I'm just asking if it can be put aside for a while as I cannot afford anything right now.

I do appreciate the advise, however, just don't assume me to be some little shit.

I get an occasional pull on pavement where there are heavy grooves in it from other cars. It's usually when I'm not lined up in the lane correctly and just slighltly on the lip of the groove. The tires try to ride the groove down while I brake.

It's not extreme pulling, but it can take me by surprise sometimes. Since I don't get it anywhere else, I assume it's normal.

Cool.......that's what i'm experiencing, it does take me by surprise, though now i'm getting used to it, but it seems to prolong just for a bit. The ground isn't as you've experienced though. hmmm...

thanks for the reply...

Naw, as far as I know, the whole car is stock except for the suspension.
