Brakes For My 330 Ci

I'm about to replace the brakes for the 1st time on my 330CI and I have gotten estimates for about $780 for both front & back pads and rotors.

The guy at the shop said that 99% of the time the rotors need to be replaced. Is this true? Also how much have you guys paid for this work?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

depending on the miles rotors may not need to be replaced. if they do, the price is about right for stock parts and labour.

i'd recommend however upgrading to harder pads, slotted rotors and steel brake lines (same labour and better performance).

Not sure how much it qould cost you in the US but bmw have a new aftermarket big brake kit for the 330Ci. bigger drilled front disks and drilled rear disks. Supposed to be better if you drive hard due to less fade.

The dealership always says 'you should replace your rotors' does'nt mean its needed to be placed, it all depends on how you use your brakes and when did you last change your rotors.
