Man the brakes are one of the best things about my new BMW. I have never had a car that could brake so quickly and easily as my 330. Saved my ass this morning.
The brakes ARE good, but if you don't do you're own brake work (like me) be prepared to bend over when the time comes. The stealer quoted me $1100 and 3 good indy shops were between $800-$850 for rotors/pads/sensors. On the plus side, I was able to get almost 40,000 mi. them.
