Brake Wear Light Is On

OK the brake wear light is on how long do I have before I need to change the brakes and which ones besides taking wheels off and looking does this light tell you which ones need replacing? ANd who makes good replacement brakes with less dust? thanks

OK! You have up to 1000 miles till rivets will contact the rotors, sensor is on left front wheel and rear right , regarding pads I recently instaled PBR DELUXE PLUS- not much dust but little bit squeal, if you want completly quiet brakes instal original BMW or Pagid organic pads (very dusty).

Thanks Zibby. I will probably go with the original BMW pads. I had the same dilemma with our A4 and dusty pads but aftermarket ones always squeeled so bad that I ended up putting Audi pads on.

What about the new ceramic pads that they ahve available.. they leave no brake dust and are suppose to be quiter? has anyone tried these?
