Brake Bleed/Flush Illustration

Hi,

There are a few good website's out there that illustrate pictorially how to do an oil change. I have been searching for a similar page that illustrates a brake fluid flush/bleed. I have searched the Forums DIY sections and can find nothing, except that it is a simple procedure as long as you keep the master cylinder topped up at all times. On all my cars before my BMW (Toyota's & Honda's) I never did a brake flush before.... just top up the reservoir when low. I never heard tell of a brake fluid flush required every 2 yrs before now. (I don't track my car). I know I can do the bleed myself and I also know I can royally %$&@ it up too.

Does anyone know any good URL's that illustrate how to properly do the brake flush/bleed (preferably with pictures).

it is a good thing to do, cos brake fluid absorbs water. 2 to 3 years is ok. bleeding the whole thing is difficult because of the abs pump, if the car is new bmw dealer can do it as part of free service warranty.

i've never bled an abs car, so i cannot advise sensibly...
