| My honda civic was stripped in front of my house tuesday night/wednesday morning between the hours of 12:30am and 2:30am, while I was asleep. They knew what they were doing too. Lifted my hood, my intake, and my seats. My beautiful seats (leather, s200 in front, GSR in back). It was scheduled to go into the shop for some work wednesday morning, so I took out the stereo equipment because the mechanic told me to. Fat lot of good that does now.. Depending on the insurance, I may nor may not get it back. It's secured at the mechanic's garage. I had a good alarm, and all the doors were securely locked. I made sure of it before going to sleep. Also, the car is parked maybe 30 feet from where I sleep, and I can see it out the window.
Because of the nature of previous break-ins, accidents, that before lead me to ask of you what I should do if purchasing a BMW, I had all the research and paperowk prepared in case I'd ever need to buy a Bimmer on hours notice, having done all the legwork months before. So, I did. I bought a navy blue 2000 BMW 323ia, fully loaded, with CD, moonroof/sunroof, digital just about everything, leather interior, etc, etc AND anti-theft devices all over the car. 50K miles for $19,900. Great insurance rate too. Better than my civic. How sad, right? The Bimmer stays locked in the garage unless I'm driving it, and I'm only driving it too and from school. Occasionnally to run errands, but with gas as it is, and my neighborhood going to hell... Not very often.
Pictures forthcoming.
