Bottom Out Help

Today my '02 325ci bottomed out on a huge lip going into a downhill driveway. It was more of a slamming than a scraping of the undercarriage. My friend in another car told me he saw smoke coming out of the car...nothing that I could notice though. I checked the undercarriage...no noticeable damage, and the car runs fine- no warning lights, no other problems. After driving for a while, I thought I started to smell a sulfur-like smell, but I may be paranoid. Any ideas of what could have happened/ what I should do with this situation? Thanks for the help.

I'd inspect the catalytic part of the exhaust.
