hey i got another question, when looking for a body kit, if the body kit sayd e46 it will fit all will it not, cause i got a 318i and there isnt many that say it will fit a 318i, so i was wondering does all e46 bodykits fit it or do i have to look for one that specifically says for a 318i?
There can be specific differences for some mounting points, EG front air dam. But the seller should be able to tell you if a given kit fits your car. Remember that body kits can add a bit of curb weight!
righto well i live in australia we dont have any places that will sell them i have to get one from ova sees and well there r some that dont specify and some that say it fits all 3 series 320,323,325,328,m3 and so on so yea wasnt sure if that included the 318i or not
Yes, it shoould fit. Like witeshark mentioned, there is a small likelihood that may needa little custom work, but to be honest I really doubt it. If you're looking at US-based websites, you'll never see the 318i, because it was never imported here. YOu should still be able to call or email whomever you are buying from, even if outside Australia, and ask them if their kits will work on your car.

ah well thats ghey, no wonder i couldnt find intakes, exhaust or body kits lol but yea if it says it fits all 3 series then it should fit mine which is wat im hopeing lol but yea the only things i have seen so far that r close is on ebay from the philipines has anyone gotten parts from there? and r the dodgy like most asian things r?
There are four body styles (sedan, coupe, wagon, and convertible) with the E46. Don't know how a body kit would fit all of them the same? No way, unless it was a real simple body kit, no way. As my Dad used to say, "you get what you pay for". Post pics when you get 'r' done. T

As a clarification: the body kit should fit if it was developed for another E46 of the same body style. E.g., an E46 sedan body kit should fit any E46 sedan, regardless of the engine size.
And by the way, there are five E46 body styles. You missed the compact.

Yep. Thank-you.

Yes, I should have missed the convertible. An older power top can give you lots of aggravation ( I know ).

oh ok good, it might be easier to do so then, the only thing is the price thats stopping me its 300 to ship it to australia alone not to mention the cost of the kit itself so yea money is deffinettly an issue atm hopefully i can find someone who can make me one for cheaper than importing one
