Bmw Inspection

I'm a new bmw owner...I just bought it about 2 months ago...I have a question about the inspection miles that is shows...it says that i have 900 miles before inspection.....how does that number reset? and do i HAVE to get it inspected??? and does it have to be at a bmw dealer?

The number is calculated based on your driving habits. If you spend more time at higher revs or in city traffic, the countdown will dwindle more quickly. I actually prefer to have oil services at shorter intervals than the service indicator calls for. I just don't want to use the same oil for 15000 miles.

If you are still under warrranty, why not have it done by a BMW dealership for free? Otherwise, you can either do it yourself, or find a good, reputable shop in your area

I believe the service is the only way to reset the indicator.

First what is the Year, Model and Miles of your car?
yes it is HIGHLY recommended that you have the inspection done.

I agree... and when that's done, i believe i crossed a few posts in the forum on how to reset
