bmw extended warranty

Are the warranties offered by bmw worth it? the way i look at it, you don't have to worry about anything for 7 years/100,000 mi. One major repair will basically pay for it. I've never done this with any of my other cars, including my 94 porsche 968. But I've never owned a car as electronically/mechinically sophisticated as the 335 xdrive. What are your thoughts on this.

I'd say it is probably worth it. However as years pass your car will become obsolete anyway and the scanners will become more affordable and easily available to regular shops and mechanics. I'd read what the warranty covers though. Sometimes they try to get you to pay for it and some stuff is not included. I opted out on my '00 528i because some major stuff was not going to be covered.

They are total worth it. I know elec. problem with seats Covered! Saved over $1500. Yesssss!
