bring your registration papers to any BMW dealer(to prove you are the real owner of the car... provide proof of identity... and if the names match, a BMW dealer will make you a key based on your VIN
I was wondering if anyone in here knew how difficult it is to transfer the inter working of a 2005 BMW 325i door to a new door shell. I can't really find anything online that gives me a step by step process.
Any feedback is welcome.
thanks
Hi to all . Australian here. How does one recalibrate the service info that appears on the dash other than taking it to a BMW dealer to have the service done by them and then recalibrated.
Greetings!!
I am a new member in this forum. I live in Puerto Rico. I do have a 2006 BMW 325i, to which I replaced the gearshift steptronic recently. However, it is not reflected in the dashboard. A BMW mechanic told me that it needs to be reprogrammed in order to work as designed. He also said that it may take from one hour, or, up to two days in order to get it done right.
I wander if this a true statement or if they want me to be out the shop. If any body in this Forum could shed some light on this matter, it will be greatly appreciated !!

I've just done reprogrammation but I didn't take 2 days! just 2 hours at most..but I don't know with the septronic..it is perhaps more tricky..
