BMW Diagnostics

I want to use the diagnostic port on the Bmw, as far as i can see there are a fair few on the market but i have not got a clue as to which one to get.
Does anyone use diagnostic software on thier car and which one can you recommend?

this link will take you to the OBD2 tool. Any 2001+ BMW should be able to use it.

The instructions are also inclued on the page. its also the cheapest site I've seen it advertised (new) for.
