| Just purchased an 04 E46 convertible this past Thursday and now I can't get over how much I love this car! I actually look forward to taking the long way home from work now just because it has open roads.
I just placed an order for the convertible alarm system and a couple of other accessories from Pacific BMW because of suggestions from this forum. My salesmanis about the most clueless BMW salesman I've ever met. He didn't even know what a wind deflector was for a convertible until I explained the concept to him. I even had to ask for the memory settings to be enabled because apparently he has only been a BMW salesman for three weeks and no one had asked for them before. (Apparently he came from a Toyota dealer). I can't complain too much, though. He was so intent on making the sale with a nice fat bonus for screwing me on a lease that I got the price down to $1200 below sticker and also got exactly what my trade was worth. When we were ready to close the deal, I told him I had my own financing and that it was only $25 more per month than the so called great lease he was offering me. :nana But that's another story ...
My question for all of you is which do you think is a better deal? Bluetooth or BWM Assist? I think it's sad that the car can't have both, but the idea of being able to use my regular cell phone in the car is pretty enticing. I signed up for the free year of BMW Assist, but other than the security of 24/7 montioring for accidents and one touch roadside assistance that I may or may not ever use, I'm not sure what the benefit is. I'll probably never use the concierge service, but I use my cell phone every day.
Any thoughts or comments?
