 bmw 328i rpm problem
Hi brand new to this forum so bare with me, Just picked up a E46 328ise Auto touring which has come with a problem which has baffeled my BMW garage!
when driving the car around 2000 rpm the car suddenly drops 500 rpm it happens mostly when in top gear. It has been connected to the diagnostic machine but is showing no faults.
The car then picks back up to 2000 rpm.
It doesn't do it under hard acceleration nor if the car is stationary the engine quite happily revs lovley and smooth.
If you select manual mode it sill happens but at higher revs 3000 etc.
Has anyone come accross this before??
