BMW 320CD 2005 Model - Not Starting but ticking over

Hi all please help.

I recently had trouble starting my vehicle from cold it would try and tick over, however it did start eventually and then it would be fine until the next morning same problem.

Then yesterday i decided to get glow plugs as i thought that may be a problem, i opened it all up and struggled with removing the manufold so i then put it all back together and then started and it would not start at all.

it tries to start, it appears there isnt any fuel going in i would have thought? any ideas or help please..

Have you checked the fuel pump and filter?

how do i check to see if the fuel pump has failed? I can replace the fuel filter not a problems shouldnt be much of a job.

The first thing to do is make sure the pump is getting power (fuse, for example).
