BMW 318ci bhp upgrade

Hi I am new to this forum.I got a BMW 318ci and finally have some money to do it up a bit.I was just wondering is there any cheaper way of getting an extra bit of bhp without supercharging it?I know there is the option to chip the car too so was just wondering which chips would be good to go for or is there any other way of doing it??Any advice would be appreciated

I can tell you this bro...a Bmw is not cheap to upgrade when it come to motorwise,don,t eva use not origional parts on them u will regret it dearly believe me.I have done some mods on my 325is that i had about 10 years ago,instead of supercharded it i had the head gasflowed,bigger valves fitted,a branch(4 into 1)with a fine tuned 60mm exhuast system fitted with a chip aswell,it made a difrence to the hp i can't recall how much..but the car was better at performence.Why don't you rather sell your recent one and get a 6 cylinder instead their much more beter if your looking for performence bro?
