i know that my 2003 325i is wired for a cell phone. Is it bluetooth? I do not know to much about bluetooth technology but i heard that if it is i should be able t use any cell phone hands free and access the internet in the car? Is this true? THis might be a stupid question but i do not know and didnt have anyone else to ask.
Bluetooth, unfortunatly, will not recognize just any cell phone....the cell phone you use HAS to be bluetooth compatable. Bluetooth is a completly wireless system. It's pretty cool, but if you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer you.
I've done alot of research on it so I can tell you what i've found. You have to have the dealer install the bluetooth option, even though the car is "prewired" for it. The dealer quoted me about $600 total for the install. The phone must be a bluetooth phone, and the providers for bluetooth equiped phones are few and far between fom what i've found(AT&T, Cingular, and T-mobile were all I could find).

Sprint also has bluetooth compatible phone. You have to call them and ask for it specifically. It costs $199. This phone is not advertised on their web sight nor it is in stores.
Bluetooth adapter is $475 at www.circlebmw.com, installation is easy. But dealer has to activate it.
As far is internet: it is provided by your cell service provider...
It is a cool gadget, unfortunately it doesn't work with e46 made prior to March 2002.
