Hello Gentlemen !
Does anybody know how to get to heater blower motor on E46 ? I need some description or pictures .It makes some chirpping noises and I need to lubricate it (guess so!).
It is accessed through the engine compartment, see pic attached. Also I would recommend replacing not lubing it. Lubricant rarely works and its not that fun of a job to do twice.
Good luck.
Damn it !
Once and a while I hear an annoying, high pitch cricket or little-bird-like chirpping sound coming from the left vent or foot well on my side . At least that's what it sounds like. I usually only hear it when I turn ignition on and after when engine is running for first several second (after this sound is gone)
It does not go away when I turn off the radio, fan and A/C, it does not seem to be related to RPM or steering movement. Sometimes I don't hear it for weeks, then it is back. Cold or hot doesn't seem to matter. I have just replaced both drive belts and alternator. Sound is still there.
Any tips where to look?
