Bimmian Carbon Air Intake

Has anyone ever purchased a carbon fiber air intake from Bimmian or should I go with a K&R?

Cool

carbon fiber is for looks and lightness, so that makes for personal preference. u should be more concerned about what it does to start with... therefore, with CAI, the consideration should be AIR FILTRATION.

however, way you decide, be ready to get check engine lights more often than with the stock filters. not something you like to hear, i am sure...

darkhorse is right on, about the carbon fiber, it looks nice & cost more......& about the check engine light......this might only be true with the washable oiled type filters, the oil residue coats the inside of the MAF sensor, which will trigger a check engine fault code.
There is another option, a washable dry filter or non-oil filter. I only know of one brand that makes them. AFE CAI's, called pro-dry s........I've had the AFE pro-dry s for a little over a year now & never got a check engine fault code. Maybe K&N has this option also....

Thanks guys! I'll look into the AFE's CAI. The last thing I want is a check engine light.
