Battery On E46 - BMW Forum

Hi Guys ! can you tell me , how to lift this damn battery lid ? I removed to plastic screws as manual says . but still something is holding it ! I do not want to "go " by force to avoid braking anything- any advice please !

on the back edge of the tray towards the outside of the car there is a spot where it clips onto the battery hold down bar. when you get the 2 plastic screws out lift up that edge enought to get your hand under it. thne push your hand as far under it as you can and push up. it should come out then. sometimes they can be stubborn.
