| Battery Disconnect Procedure
Hi to all, I would like to know if there is a step-by-step procedure when disconnecting the battery (negative terminal). Here's why I need to know. A 320i E90 owner complained that his vehicle would just die down after starting, or just would not start at all (key on, start button pressed). A technician from the local BMW dealership asked him if the "correct procedure" for disconnecting the battery was followed when service/repair was done on the vehicle. The technician claimed that if the key was left inserted when the battery was disconnected, this problem will sometimes happen and will manifest itself after several starts and runs. Is there any truth to this or is this technician taking him for a ride? |
