When I step on the gas pedal of my BMW the whole back of the car dips a lot. is that normal?

no...does it occur more when you gas tank is full or empty?


also check your tire pressure/ suspension / bearings in that order...the problem may lie therein

My guess is bad shocks or springs or even both. Bearings or tire pressure wouldn't couse that amount of dipping.
