Auxiliary Fan Spinning WAAAY Too fast? HELP!!

Hey, i own 2003 330i, bought it at a junkyard with some minor front end damage. I got it mostly all patched up however i'm having some trouble with the auxiliary fan.

I bought a replacement fan (not original bmw) , attached the little module that was attached to the old fan housing and put it on the new one that i got, wired that to the fan and then hard wired the module to the wires coming out from engine compartment. It doesn't spin when the car is off (i know some people have that problem) but when i turn the engine on it sounds like an airplane is taking off under the hood and it doesn't slow down at any point it does start out slow but within 10-15 seconds gets faster and faster till it looks and sounds like its spinning way faster than it should and i think it might be spinning the wrong way even.

I matched the wires the best i could but there is a possibility that i did it wrong because they were slightly different colors.

Also could there be a temp sensor missing that controls the fan speed that i didn't notice was missing? (btw i've been working on this car during winter in the freezing cold so if there is one it shouldnt be reading a high temp at all)

Anyone have any suggestions or maybe a wiring diagram for the aux fan?
