Automatic to Manual Transmission

I was wondering how much it would cost to get a '02 330i automatic transmission to a manual transmission and where i would go to get this done.

I'd love to know the same thing. I have an 02 325xi and it's got just about everything I could hope for - but it's an auto and not a manual. From what I've read - it's just better to trade the thing in and get another one in a stick... but from what I could figure out - parts and labor would probably cost you around $6000-9000, at least. And the BMW dealer I talked to say they'd rather just trade you cars than convert it as it reduces the value of the car.

It's completley possible.

Do the work yourself. And while your in there, do an M3 engine swap, its gonna cost you close to that anyway.

I can understand the desire for a stick, but it sounds like an insane amount of work.

well, if you were a comp sci major and had some electronics buddies you MAY be able to convert an automatic into a slap-shift....
