Just bought my Extended Warranty from 1sourceautowarranty.com last week. Got a okay deal I thought so. 4 year 100,000 mile. (I have 46k on mine right now). I paid 1990$ for the Diamond coverage (best coverage I could get) with added emissions coverage. The cmpany is well reputed and I checked out their rating with the Better Business Beureau and it was cool. 19 grand for 4 years and 55K miles is a peace of mind I think I am willing to pay.

www.royalprotectionplan.com (not good-sold me a 6year 100,000 then when the contract came it said 6 years from the date of manufacture .I was like : . Got it cancelled. All of these places have a 30 day moneyback guarantee)

2001325xi, Thanks for the reply. I saw these same comapies on the net but didn't know much about them. I didn't think thjey took cars with more than 36k miles on them.
Did they require an inspection or are the rates just higher for the additional miles?

Nope just atlked to the rep on the fone and that was it. But the warranty doesnt begin for 1000 miles or 30 days after you purchase it. So if there was any condition in that period it would be uncovered.

Regarding the prices i doubt you can find a lower price for all the coverage they give plus emissions (usually costs 200-300 extra). At 36K when i bought my car the dealer offered me 1900....but I still have 7 months left for my warranty so I deffered. figured I saved coupla presidents right there.

Anyways lemme know if you need more info. My 0.02$......buy the warranty if yur car is below 55K and youre not the gearhead types who can got to the bimmer with a spanner and wrenches....... :lol:
