anyone ever had a prob with whisle noise near mirror

its very annoying.. it started doing that lately and its only when i get up to about 40mph it starts to whistle near the mirror.. if i fold the mirror it stops.. hmmmm

Odd. The e46 non M mirrors are designed specifically nto to make noise. That's why you have those funny looking ridges on the top of it.

i kow thats what i read lol.. when i place my hand infront of the mirror while driving (not suggested) it stops the whistle.. arrr its pissing me off..

Check the ruber strips and sealer that surround the windows and windshield. Maybe some of these are lose adn the airflow rushing passed the mirror and is directed at a lose piece somewhere.
