Antifreeze Addition For Brandnew Cars?

My car is brandnew (2005) and winter is approaching. I wonder if I need to have the antifreeze level checked and maybe some antifreeze added if necessary. Probably the new cars come with ample antifreeze already added in, but I'm not sure. Does any one have a suggestion?

PS: 23-25 degrees Fahrenheit is the lowest temperature I expect here where I live.

Hi,

You could use %40 antifreeze and %60 water. If you use little amount of antifrezee the water will become ice fastly, but if you use more antifreeze which is a kind of alcohol the water will boil lately.

Depending on the weather conditions, you could decide how much to use, I dont know much about the Fahreneit but in Celcius, first option will work up to - 35 Celcius.

Most new BMW's come with a 50% antifreeze mix this will go down to -40ºC if you live in a colder place than this the car will be spec to that place unless you have imported it

That's good to know. I don't expect the temperature to drop below -5ºC.

just check the coolant level and make sure it is not leaking, it should be fine
