anybody know where i can find info on how to get to the back of my factory radio on my 02 325 ci. i'm going to try to istall an amplifier to my stock radio this weekend. i'm sure there is a previous post here somewhere.
Try looking in your trunk. Many BMW's are prewired at the factory for CD changers and amplifiers. Our 2000 323i was and I had a six disc Alpine CD changer installed. You may want to let a professional do the work as I needed two special harnesses to hook up to the factory wires in the trunk.
thanks aampsmb
i know i definately don't have the cd changer but i never thought about looking back there.
where should i look? where the spare is, behind the panels or something. i tell ya if i have those connections back there it would save me a tremendous amount of time.or atleast the remote wire.. but then again.i don't think im that lucky.
The CD changer is mounted on the plastic tray on the left side of the trunk floor. Pull up the plastic tray and look for any wire harnesses underneath. If I'm remembering right there are some icons on the trunk lid that tell what the car is pre-wired for. Take a look there and see what if any wires are there. Hope that helps.
