Aluminum/chrome window trim--upgrade?

I have noticed that many BMWs (sedans and coupes) have the aluminum/chrome trim around the doors/windows. But some cars (mine) have the black plastic. Was this an option?

If I wanted to upgrade to this look, how would I do this? Who would I go to? How much would it cost? Etc....

I am also with the black trim around the doors.It was chrome before,but I prefer the black look of my car/rims,grill,handles/-everything BLACK.
For that purpose I sent the car into a service and they painted the parts.
The black trim around the door can be removed and then installed again.
So if you want a chrome trim you can easy buy new one and replace it!
