Air Condition Problem

The aircondition in my car comes on when I turn the car on. THis happens even if I turn the air condition off before I turn off the car. I was told by a friend that it may be a faulty resistor. Does anyone have any Ideas

If you have a climate control it may be the "sword", which controls the blower speed. Once it fails, the blower will go on with the highest fan speed.

if you have the climate control on auto, the car will switch the compressor on by itself. this is normal.

is this what the sword means???

The dealer can turn this off. They did for me. It came from the factory that way.
