air bag light

What started out so easy is turning into a pain. I changed the right front window regulator on my '02 325i. I had to unhook the door air bag and turn the key on to get the bolts for the regulator. Got it all back together and now the air bag light is on. I called the dealer and they told me it has to be reprogramed. Is this true, or does the code just need to be cleared? When I start the car the air bag light comes on, and for a split second it goes off and right back on again.

Yes....it is true, you can either pay them 1 hour of labor which is about $125.00 to clear the code or you can buy the airbag reset tool for $129.99 & reset yourself & have the tool for future use......
