| Having made a concession to LA traffic and buying a steptronic instead of the 5 speed on my 330i, I'm looking to see if there are any aftermarket shift knobs for the premium package wood shift knob that comes with my car. I'm hoping to find something that is shorter, like a Miata shifter but for an automatic. Has anyone had luck installing an aftermarket shifter for their steptronic that is shorter, gives a shorter "throw" in the manual mode, and doesn't make your car look like a teenager owns it? The only thing I can find so far is one made by AC Schnitzer through Bavarian Autosport, but I don't know how much shorter it is than the stock knob. Thanks for any input. |
