umm you didnt specify what color the 323Ci was. My personal opinion is not to get an auto bmw. But thats just me. If I had to choose between these two, I would def go for the 328Ci; its not really that much more, but the condition seems great, miles low, not many mods=good cuz some ppl dont know how to mod right and also leaves you room to mod yourself.

328-less miles, offer 18k. Modded car was probably driven harder-if you have the power-it's definitely been used, else why do the mods?

328ci, It's a better choice. You get the 2.8L engine. It's a 2000 model year which gives you that steptronic transmission. Is that a "sporty susupension" or Sports suspension, which is it... is it like just installed by an amautre, a feeling when you drive the car, aftermarket, or dealer optioned?
Of course as everyone has mentioned, it does have fewer miles, AND it's got that warranty!!!!! That's what would really through me over! BTW, at $18,500, your getting a deal, assuming that all is good with the car. I just purchased my 328i last month, it was a 1999 model with 51K miles for $18,700 and NO warranty. Dude, and that wasn't even a coupe (which most will add an additional $3,000 + to the sticker). Just my opinion of course, but I'd go with the 328ci, warranty! and cheap (comparativly).

Its a Sport Suspension.

I've heard a lot of conflicting views on upkeep. What type of upkeep and maintainence are we talking about for these vehicle? I've heard that certain valves have to be reaplaced frequently and that there is a tune-up that has to be done every year, is this true?

What price on average am I talking to maintain this car?

Thanks,
Russ

You might want to call a local dealer or independent shop and ask about pricing for the maintenance.

You'll have to get brakes eventually so you can ask about that, too. And whatever else you think of.
