| AC compressor
Greetings all: My air conditioning performance has gradually dropped to the point where it's barely cooling. The blower is fine...the output just isn't cold. My dealership replaced coolant, and did all the usual first line stuff. No improvement. They say the compressor needs to be replaced, and the quote was a nice round $2200 - parts and labor. Can anyone tell me if that's as outrageous as it sounds? I mean...what do they have to do...take the engine apart to get to the compressor? Thanks in advance. |
