i am extremely close to purchasing a 335 sedan either xi or i...i am performance oriented when choosing cars...which is better performing..i know the xi weighs a couple hundred lbs more but on bmw's website it says it is a tenth quicker to 60 than the i....5.3 vs 5.4...the dealers that i have been talking to say the xi is quicker due to the gear ratios... i def am getting a manual either way..ur opinions would be greatly appreciated..thanx again

well my 335i should be coming in this week...black sapphire over terra/black, 6sp, msrp of 50,495...really nice car..also ordered the vishnu stage 2 package so the car should be quicker than the new m3 in no time..i luv turbos!!!

... but it is my understanding that the vishnu package/s MUST run with 93 octane or better.

Q: how convenient or unconvenient(as the case may be) will it be for you to find a gas station that can provide you with 93 octane gas????

Congrats ... It might be too late ... but here is my opinion about your question ...I would look at my area .. .if you're getting a lot of snow in winter time, XI is definately the way to go. Good luck with your 335i. It's a fantastic car.
