335D Oil Question

huyatgr /Banned Join Date: May 2011 Car: Posts: 137 Photos:	335D Oil Question I just bought a new 335D and went to pick up the registration today. While there, I stopped in at the parts counter to buy a quart of oil to have on hand to top it off if it becomes necessary. I read that the correct oil is BMW LL-04. The parts guy sold me a quart of Castrol SLX Professional OE 5W-30. I questioned him and his answer was "That's what BMW sends us for your car." Just curious if anyone has run into this and if maybe the parts guy made a mistake. Thanks

Be aware that this oil is Dealer Standards for Volkswagens (still German engineering LOL)
